... and is easy to use

Grandparents using laptopOSoft is currently working on several projects including the development of customized e-readers and document platforms (with dotReader) for K-12 students, teachers in third-world countries, college students, a library system, and several well-known publishers and authors. Given the diverse needs, we had to re-think how an e-book reader needs to be designed.

OSoft was tasked to make the dotReader "wrinkle-proof" -- meaning your 80 year-old grandmother could use the reader without instructions. Based on the requirements above, one size can't fit all as is the case with many of the leading commercial applications. Realistically, a first grade student needs a simpler, graphic-orientated interface than older students. College students, researchers, and business people require advanced search and collaboration tools. Leisure readers can be more demanding. They require enough features to quickly get in to and navigate their e-book without interfering with their reading experience.

Customization

With each implementation of the dotReader OSoft creates, we listen to the customer needs and build to their requirements. While the "engine components under the hood" are the same, the outside look and feel can be quite different. Depending on the client, features can be locked down or left open for personal customization.
